Got a pupa just now too… I thought the larva was dying coz it was brown. When I saw it a few hours later, it was a yellow-green cocoon… Too bad I never actually sat down to watch it or record the process in stop-motion… -_-
Oops! You’re right! Thanks! … ^_^ … yeah, that’s what I meant eheheh… can’t record a larva shedding its skin before the pupal stage using stop motion – unless it’s a still model… hehe…

Was it a butterfly? If it was it was not a cocoon, it was a chrysalis/pupa. Moths make a silk cocoon around them and then they change to pupa.
